Luigi Mangione, the suspect in the murder of a health insurance executive, has reportedly starred in several amateur adult films, according to new information.
The 26-year-old gained significant attention after his mugshot was shared online following his arrest in connection with the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York last December.
Sources now claim that Mangione filmed over 20 adult films, often setting up the scenes with professional-level lighting and a focus on the act of being watched. He is said to have enjoyed the attention, sending explicit photos to women he knew and frequently recording himself.
One insider shared with Radar Online, "This wasn’t just an accidental, poor-quality video. The lighting and setup were carefully planned—he wanted to be watched, and he enjoyed it."
The source added, “It was like he was creating his own adult film empire. He wasn’t careless; he was putting on a performance.”
At least 20 films featuring Mangione have been made, although many of the women involved are reportedly reluctant to speak out for fear of being dragged into his ongoing legal situation.
Mangione, who comes from a wealthy background and is Ivy League-educated, was the target of an extensive manhunt after Thompson was shot on the streets of Manhattan on December 4. He was apprehended after a tip from a McDonald's worker in Pennsylvania, and law enforcement found a firearm similar to the one used in the murder.
After his arrest, it was revealed that Mangione had posted on X about having a "pretty huge d***," in response to a query about who held a PhD.
Additionally, a former roommate claimed Mangione had suffered a back injury so severe that it left him unable to engage in sexual activity.
Mangione has pleaded not guilty to state murder and terrorism charges, but has not yet entered a plea on federal charges. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment or the death penalty.
